We wanted to think outside of the box. (The thinking one, not the hay one.) So we did. And we thought: how awesome would a 2nd cut Timothy & Alfalfa hay combo box be?
2nd cut Timothy hay is the stuff most people feed to their adult rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas… it has just the right amount of fiber, protein, and fat. Alfalfa hay is the stuff most people feed to their young animals (under one year, because it’s rich in nutrients that are helpful for growth), older animals (who need a nutrition boost), OR for adult animals as a treat hay to add interest to their regular diets.
So, we created this 75% Timothy hay & 25% alfalfa hay combo box. For two reasons. Bored animals sometimes don’t eat enough, and alfalfa hay as a buried treat in 2nd cut Timothy hay is totally perfect if they’re being picky. Or if they deserve a little extra nom. If you have a new mommy or a senior who needs 2nd cut Timothy as a staple and alfalfa as a nutrition boost? We’ve got you.
Your small animal should have an unlimited supply of fresh hay at all times to prevent GI stasis and digestive issues. (And keep you out of the vet’s office.) Plus, hay is the best way our little guys and gals keep their teeth worn down, which is super important for their health, too. Two types of glorious green hay in the perfect ratio for your family? #twothumbsup.
Feeding Instructions: 80% of your friend’s diet should be great hay. Small animals need a constant supply of fiber to keep them healthy, so never let them run out. Ever. To keep the hay smelling nice (which makes it yummier and more enticing), make sure they get a fresh supply at least once a day.
Storage and Expiration Info: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
